What is the Houston Experiment?

The Houston Experiment is a new type of concert series developed by composer and founder Greg Houston. By going to these concerts, not only will you hear music from some of the great up-and-coming composers today, but you will also be able to interact through an open forum with them about the creative process of their music. The goal of the concert series is to help bridge the gap between the composer, the performer, and the audience.

Greg Houston

Greg Houston’s music has been praised by many for its deep compositional voice and wild sonic experimental sounds. His music has been performed throughout the United States by ensembles such as Yarn Wire, CounterInduction, Mivos String Quartet, Wet-Ink, International Chamber Ensemble, Triple Helix Piano Trio, Esterhazy String Quartet, Moscow Conservatory Orchestra, The Richmond County Orchestra, and the Waltham Symphony Orchestra.

Greg is also an accomplished pianist who has performed across the United States and Europe and also appeared during Season Four of Boardwalk Empire on HBO.
